Art heals the spirit by virtue of the creative act, which helps us find in our memories, emotions, relationships, and myths a new identity. "Emotions, relationships, color, light, wind or sounds that
I´ve experienced as recently as last night, or many years before, are raw materials with which I try to create "new" moments. The images my paintings represent are rooted in my memory. The act of painting becomes the act of memory, a line from the present to the past and back again, establishing my identity as a person.
